Respect for sovereignty
Tribal nations set the authority and priorities for their data. An outside organisation cannot assume that role.
CedarStack Institute is a developing initiative centered on Indigenous education, workforce development, and data sovereignty.
The Institute’s purpose is to equip Indigenous communities with practical skills and resources for the digital economy. Its proposed work brings education together with shared standards and protocols for Indigenous data sovereignty.
The long-term vision is a future in which tribal nations define and manage their digital infrastructure, supported by a skilled Indigenous workforce and decisions grounded in community priorities.
The Institute concept is founded and led by Osage citizens. It is independent: no ownership, governance, or endorsement by the Osage Nation is claimed.
These principles shape the proposed direction and the conversations that come before programmes.

Create space for youth, adults, and elders to participate in learning and contribute their perspectives.
Define outcomes before delivery and communicate clearly about what is planned and what is confirmed.
Build knowledge and capability that stay with people and communities beyond a single project.
The working plan explores digital literacy, coding, IT and data skills, youth mentorship, and career support. Delivery details will be published once instructors, resources, and participation requirements are confirmed.
It also explores a longer-term ecosystem for community-led digital infrastructure. This website describes the Institute’s educational vision; it does not offer data-center hosting or infrastructure services.
